That sounds like a neat idea to me to get supplies on the Carrier.

I have watched many refueling AND resupply operations in the little over
2 Years I was onboard some of the Carriers that I was stationed on.

In the early 1960's, On the USS Midway CVA-41, my sections Crew Quarters
was just AFT (Behind) of the Winch Rooms for the Number 3 Landing Cable
and directly under the Landing Deck.

Number 3 is the Main Wire that the Planes Aim to Hook on to.

During Landing Operations, if I was in my Compartment, I would hear the
BOOM! (The Planes Landing Gear Hitting the Deck above my head).

SCREACH! (The Clutch on the Winches putting resistance on the Landing
Cable to slow the Plane down).

A WHIRLING NOISE (The Winches Re-Winding the spent out cable).

and then the SWISH-SWISH-SWISH of the Landing Cabel returning to rest
overhead, Ready for the next Plane to Land on the Carrier.

And Yes!, I did learn how to go to sleep in my Compartment during
Landing Operations!

I've always told people that IF I can/could go to sleep under a Airport,
I can/could go to sleep anywhere.    ;-)
