I read it again, it says it will check for a newer version AT installation 
Start-Up, instead of what I said before.    ;-)

Here is a Heads Up for TI users.

On Acronis's website I read a page that said that their newer version may NOT 
allow a person to Restore their Backup that they made with an older version.

I've only used this one copy of TI Home 10 (not 2010) so I figure if I don't 
accept a update for TIH 10 I won't run into trouble if I ever had to Restore my
latest backup.

Here is the reply I got from Acronis,

 NOTE The Support Team Member mentions "Boxed" version, not the 2011 version 
that the CD is in a paper jacket.

Before I got this reply from Acronis I purchased the 2010 Boxed version, but 
after reading the Help pages at Acronis I noticed that "Free Updates" are only 
given for one year, so I returned TIH 2010 in the box for TIH 3011 in the paper
jacket yesterday.

Subject: Head Scratcher.

I am a Registered User of Acronis True Image Home 10 (NOT 2010) that I 
purchased in 2007.

I want to help my Brother to start using Acronis True Image Home 2011,

I was in a local Best Buys store this evening and found a CD copy of Acronis 
True Image Home 2011 for $20.00.

In 2007 I paid $50.00 for my copy of True Image Home 10 (NOT 2010), Twenty 
dollars is a lot less than Fifty dollars, so that is why I am writing You for 
more information before He buys it.

On the back of the CD jacket the instructions said something about after True 
Image Home 2011 is installed on the computer TI Home 2011 will check to see if 
a newer Version is available and could be downloaded to His computer.

If My Brother allows the newer version to be downloaded to His computer Would 
There Be An Extra Charge?

The computer he has uses Windows Seven.

I didn't answer the Fields for "Product:" and "Operating System the product is 
running under:" because He hasn't bought the CD yet.

I am still happy using the old version I bought in 2007 that I backup my XP 
computer with.
