You've suggested before that Apple was dependent on sales of iThings...
certainly the various iThings are selling nicely, and producing large
proportions of the income that has let Apple's market cap surpass Microsoft.

However Mac sales continue to grow as well... A quick Google search for 'Mac
sales 2011' brought titles and links such as:

That last one was summarized in the Google list with "Apple is growing at an
amazing 83% year-over-year rate."

So (along with iThings), Mac sales are doing just fine - unlike PC sales. I
watched a webcast by analysts from IDC Canada last week, looking at IT trends
from 2010 through 2015... among what they reported: PC sales (home and
business) drop by 7.5% this year, with an overall drop of 5.8% predicted for
the period to 2015.
