No question Acronis TI does a much more thorough job and is easy to use.
However, for a free backup and imaging program the Win 7 one will likely
suffice for most.  The problem though, is getting folks to even make backups. 
There's really no excuse for Win 7 users not to make backups.  MS has made it
easy - and it works.

I don't really have a choice on the Mac.  The Win 7 partition has to be backed
up and while TI will do the image, it chokes when restoring.  I still use TI on
the stand alone Win machines but not for the Mac.

There's also several cloning programs for the Mac:  SuperDuper and Carbon Copy
Cloner.  Both create a bootable clone of the hard drive to an external hard
disk.  And then there is always Time Machine included with Leopard and Snow
Leopard.

Watch out Jean, those big cats will get you!  Next kitty is Lion.

Got to get outside this week and mow the grass. I have a nice power mower that
I bought in Home Depot.  The mower was made in Canada and I have to admit, it's
the best one I've owned since way back when.  :)
