When I booted from the TIH ebd CD I saw 3 selections to choose from.

1. Safe version that doesn't include drivers for usb/pc card/scsi hard
   disks.

2. Full version that includes drivers for usb/pc card/scsi hard disks.

3. Windows to continue loading windows instead of using True Image.

I selected 2. and when Acronis appeared my usb cordless mouse didn't
move the cursor, but the PS/2 mouse that I have left connected to the XP
box worked just fine.

I selected Recover and waited until the screen that shows the available
drives appeared and then I 'turned on' the USB backup drive, and waited,
and waited, and waited, so after a minute I Exited Acronis but this time
I left the USB backup drive turned on when I booted the Acronis CD.

When I got to the screen with the drives listing, the usb drive showed
up as E: instead of R: as it is in XP.
That didn't matter though since it did show up in the list.

I was able to select a backup directory on the drive and then I selected
the first .tib file of the backup and after a moment or two TIH
recognized the file as the first file of a backup.

I Cancelled the operation and rebooted the computer to write to you.

Note-that usb cordless mouse wasn't reckonized that second time either,
but the PS/2 mouse worked OK, and the usb backup drive worked too.

Back when I made the TIH ebd CD I only had a PS/2 mouse connected,
I just bought the USB cordless mouse in April.

It may be that the TIH ebd CD couldn't see the usb mouse because I
didn't have it when I burned the CD??????????
