	What kind of critter was this ? At least, you had a backup.

	Having had some too expensive machines before, the VAIO cost will not faze you
in the least. Let me repeat here that about 1.5 year ago, I was asked to fix a
Sony machine and was impressed by it. The construction was evidently meant to
be repairable and I did. The problem was SUEs. That machine was left ON 24/7
for a full year if not more and they at the house, have cats. The CPU was
overheating, the cooler was plugged.

	No reason for the tiles to stay on your screen, I do not have any at all, not
one save the Desktop and when it comes on screen, a simple Return gets me into
the world of W-7, totally ! So, in a way, I am also sticking to/with W-7.

	On my machine, at first, it said that O2K would not run. When I tried W-8 on
the Toshiba, I selected to "keep" all and it did, even O2K. As I got an Office
2010 to install on the W-8 machine, I got a French version and being used to
the English terminology, I was a little frustrated, on top of this, it is too
bloated, I did not need nor wanted all the new stuff. As the Toshiba was nicely
digesting O2K, I tried it on the Acer too and it took it this time, it runs
fine now. I Had to remove it, reinstall 2010 so I could save all the new .docx
to .doc again, then remove 2010 and do O2K. Acronis was a neck-saver yesterday
and I thank you again for putting me on it.

	At least give W-8 a try, trust me, it runs like W-7 but quicker.
