Holger, Mark and anyone else interested in my latest adventure of trying to
ween me away from SLMR.

I have been using MM 40 DOS for a couple of days now to read and reply in my
QWK.

I haven't yet learned how to use the mouse in MM 40 DOS, I'm thinking something
about using the Mouse is mentioned either in the README or MM.TXT, I'll have to
go look to refresh my minds RAM about it.

I'm fairly sure the Mouse works better in MM 49 DOS than I see it doing in MM
40 DOS.

At least I got MM putting the Date, From and To in the top line of Replies.

Thanks for the help, but I am leaning back towards my old (T)rusty SLMR because
when I want to save a message that I've read in a echo, I have to change the
file name that MM suggests to one more to my liking, although after I have
entered the name I want it saved under MM does remember the name for me. If I
allow MM suggestion to save a message the next message in the packet I want to
save has a change of the file name to the number of the message I am saving. 
That's One!
I don't like having a bunch of LITTLE files with individual names, I like to
keep the messages I save in one BIG file until the file gets up to around
300,000 bytes and then "I" will increase the number by one digit.
Sorta like I feel about Favorites in IE being individual files instead of one
large Bookmark file as Netscape 2.0 did for me in the late 1990's. I hate
little bitty files that don't use a whole Cluster!!!!!!


Two, I haven't learned yet if MM has anything like SAVELIST.MR that SLMR has to
REMEMBER the names of the files I choose to save messages to.
I don't think so, so that one thing may drive me happily back to using SLMR all
the time for my QWK viewing.

Yes, Tom I know You Are Grinning from Ear to Ear at that comment.  ;-)

Although I would like to see a Date, From, To line at the top of my reply
messages, If I can'd do in in SLMR so be it!
I'll still use MM when I need to read all of a message that chokes SLMR and
makes it BURP at around the 150 line mark.

YEP!, I'm a Dyed in the wool SLMR Man!

But Thanks Very Much for all the suggestions and support everyone has given me
to lure me away from SLMR, Sorry Charlie!
(Holger, Charlie is the name of a Cartoon Tuna Fish character in a Television
commercial that the Star-Kist Tuna canning company here in the USA used in a
advertisement, Sometimes Charlie was rejected by a Note stuck on the hook of a
fishing line, the note read "SORRY!")

I will check and see if the MMAIL.RC file in MM 40 DOS can be used in MM 49 DOS
and see if any improvements were added to the newer version to my liking.


... I'm sure everything I can't find is in a safe place somewhere.
