Ärende: IEXPLORER problem

Hello CHARLES,

Responding to a post in the WINDOWS area:

As you know, I've been preoccupied with the W2K install... I made a
printout of your message and placed it on top of the DOS / WFWG box for
when my time permits. Thank you.

CA> The 'tweaks' are changes to the ".ini" files btw, nothing major.

Yes, I saw a couple of message regarding that -- gotta find them again and
do printouts before the messages disappear. <g>

Why so far away? What you can't touch, you can't break? <G,D&R>

GM>> I vaguely recall that there was some sort of Y2K problem with one (or
GM>> more) of the Windows 3.x files
CA> There are Y2K problems but they don't affect the 'clock' (see above).

I think M$ referred to the time problem as a Y2K problem rather than admit
it was a problem that they had created...

GM>> and the particular file that I'm trying to find was made available to
GM>> address the problem of systems loosing time. I'll find it eventually.
CA> I'm reasonably certain the 'fix' applied to the ".ini" file mentioned
CA> at AXCEL216's website is the solution to the problem and does not
CA> require any other software - honest. :-)

When I no longer have 'the hounds' of W2K snapping at my heels, I'll go
back to the WFWG box and its time travel problem. By then, I'll likely
have forgotten about it or it will be an inconsequential matter. :-)

           Thanks ... Gerald

... WE CAN FIX ANYTHING. PLEASE KNOCK HARD - THE BELL DOESN'T WORK!
