Apparently is was a "Senior State Department official," not Ms. Albright,
and they knew the Pakistanis were going to leak the information.  They 
planned
to tell the Pakistanis several hours later when it was too late to do 
anything about it, but
someone's incompetence won out.

Hmmm. Given the Clinton administration's ability to parse words like "is"
Mr. Berger (than man that was caught stealing top secret documents)
is objecting to the term "slam down the phone?"
