That's a patently fallacious argument. The taxes that the Feds
collected meant that they didn't have to raise or could lower other
taxes. The money saved on those taxes remained in the pockets of the
taxpayers who spent and provided employment for those who didn't have
employment.

Hardly. They are illustrative examples, not statistics, and are
clearly identified as such by my "forex." Nor are they outliers. They
are common practices. One has to be either extremely naive about the
business world or dead set on preserving inequities that benefit the
rich and powerful to suppose otherwise.

Who cares? All we're asking him to do is pay his share of taxes like
someone who /doesn't/ have these deductions.

Owning your own business is tax heaven, because unless the owner is
incredibly flagrant there's no way the IRS is ever going to know where
he drove the company car or about those freebies he got from the
supplier.
