Well, the good news is that I think most of us just think you're a boor who
doesn't express himself well, not an ogre.

You came in complaining about the lack of improvements in something that's been
being hosted for over a decade for free and bitch about the service provided by
a group of volunteers.  As icing on the cake, you make incorrect and imprecise
statements and decorate with intimations of censorship.

Let me ask you...how would you react to somebody coming into your close-knit 
neighborhood who immediately started making snide comments about the
Neighborhood Watch being out to get him, intimated that the postman was
stealing
his letters and insisted that the small road in front of his house was a
Highway?

THAT's the way you come across to the regulars here.  You use the word clique
but the more accurate description is that this is a community.  People who
start
barging around here like a raging bull aren't going to be greeted with open
arms
if they don't show themselves willing to accommodate themselves to the
community.

Now I know that you've pretty much discounted everybody else's experiences but
I'll mention that I and pretty much everybody among the regulars has
experienced
lost messages.  Even JMS, as has been mentioned, even when AOL supported
newsreading. Just to make life interesting, every once in a while those lost
posts end up showing up weeks later when the conversation's moved on.  And
sometimes posts have gotten dupli- and triplicated and more, again sometimes
days later, much to everybody's annoyance.  I've had posts bounced by the
moderators when conversation's gotten heated and I haven't always agreed with
them but if I felt that what I wanted to say was important enough, I rephrased
it and resent it. Same thing with lost posts.  That's simply how things are. 
Deal with it or don't.

You see, we enjoy new posters if they appear to want to belong to the
community.
I know that you say you're not new but your Google profile only goes back to
April 2003 and the post count indicates that you would have just about been
getting off of the first 20 post hand moderation right about the time you got
involved with this thread.  Congratulations on getting put back on hand
moderation less than 70 posts later on the same thread.

Now then, assuming you want to get back off of hand moderation, I suggest that
you change your attitude or your AOL mailbox will be filling up with bounce
messages.  I'm not sure you believed us when you were told that that's what
happens when a post is rejected but I have a feeling that you will pretty
shortly.
