Charlotte still likes her games and such, but they tend to be on in the

Slight digression. Elise just blatently stole my 'walking with dinosaurs'
series (snicker, it will walk back later, not to worry).  Dropped off 2 kids
now making silence in Charlotte's room (peeked, headsets and beebopping as
they play monopoly).

Satsumo Itos'!  Yes! (Potato family thing), nappa (cabbage), gobo shoots!,
strawberries (smaller here but a bit more flavor to the bite), and 3 squid
'personal sized' for dinner.

She got sme good stuff and wants to play in the kitchen with a longer making
recipe for tomorrow.  Apparently her tradition for Mother's day (tomorrow for
us) is the mother to cook special.  (Ruth, match Germany? I find that odd).
I'm feeding us tonight.

It's too late to defrost anything major so added the last pack of surinami to
the sink defrosting.  Mixed up some instant pistacho pudding with cold milk. 
I've got cold butter pickles, raw peanuts in the shell, niboshi (Elise doesnt
like that all that well but 2 of her 3 kids do), and a small serving each of
left over rattatolie.  I also have 2 leftover japanese eggplants and they are
now oiled and low-heat baking with a slice of bacon stretched out and wrapped
around each longwise cut bit.  1 can 'whole' green beans (blue lake) with a
few cloves of garlic and a drizzle of sesame oil.

I have 1/2 loaf of a rye-whole wheat bread so when the kids finish beeboppin'
to the music, I'll send one over to pick up a loaf and the other one here down
to the lobby to get some Qoo (fruit drinks, but I want green tea).

I read the main one many years ago but I'm not sure just when.  Probably HS age
but it wasnt a new book. just ne i hadnt tried yet.  His son is now expanding
on the topic and I've enjoyed the "house Of Corrino' and that set.

I asked Charlotte that this weekend, she find the relation to JRR Tolkien and
WWII.  Turned out that one was too simple.  'Mom, he didnt fight but he wrote
much of the books as stories in letters to his son.  He was too old but his
son wasnt'. Geez, kid didnt even have to look that one up.
