When Anne and I were first married our apt in Hawaii
 had the tiniest kitchen you'd imagine...two burner 
stove half a fridge and a sink so small you couldn't 
soak the dishes! The kitchen WAS the hallway between 
the living room and the bedroom! Big bathroom though 
and a lanai that was bigger than the kitchen! We were 
newlyweds though....did most of our cooking on a 
hibachi on the lanai (grin)! Was a great appt though, easy
to clean...open the front door and the sliding door to the 
lanai...everything that wasn't nailed down went off with the
tradewinds that came howling through!

-> Definately.  Books are the only thing I normally had them unpack but

-> Naw, one of the family has to account for each numbered item as it comes

Been there but thankfully haven't had to do

-> As soon as we found the good computer chair, they unwrapped that and i
just sat
-> as needed for the rest of it.  I can't stand too long or sit too long,

-> bouncing up and down as needed, am fine enough.

-> Yeah, but the real stumper is the exercise stationary bike.  
-> Oh a loose end, I
-> took the cultech to the bike guy here along the way to get our glasses. 
He's
-> got it in the front window being refurbished.  Bike riding on a smooth
trail is
-> one of the few things I'm allowed and the Doc said to get back to my old
habit
-> of shopping that way but no backpack on my back of over 10lbs.  That 
nearby
-> Harris Teeter is all residential area all the way up to it and I talked
with
-> the
-> manager briefly on shopping with a backpack.  He's cool with me putting
the 
-> stuff in to weigh it.  I'm just to stop by as I come in and warn them. 
I

-> to the bike guy and he's ordering the side mounting rearwheel cultech
kit for 
-> baskets.  Each will hold one standard paperbag size.  They are a bit
pricey
-> here but the bike guy as i mentioned before, is doing my work for cost
of parts
-> so overall, I can afford the baskets.
-> 

Look on craigslist. Around here there are 
lots of bike "trailers" that hook right below 
the seat and you can tow you're kids along 
behind while you do all the work.....they 
do a bang up job as a cargo container when 
the kids get big enough for their own set 
of wheels!

->  -> Slight break, made our bed.  Sent Don off to have a few beers with
the

->  HN> I'm on a course of antibiotics for a few 
->  HN> weeks ....no beers for me! Even worse, no 
->  HN> wine and no scotch!!

-> Humm, been on antibiotics quite a few times.  Some are fine with
alcohol.

Both of these say in big red letters on the 
bottle....DO NOT USE WITH ALCOHOL, so I think 
that means no beers for a week or so...not a 
big thing with me but I do like a bit of scotch 
or a glass of wine once in a while!

->  ->  HN> I really do like teriyaki salmon and halibut, very goood! I
like my
->  ->  HN> teriyaki sauce to be not too sweet though!

->  CS> Same here, so when I do make it (the rare time), I used a japanese
mix. 
->  CS> Sold in little pouches like gravy packs (McCormicks etc). 
->  CS> You add sugar to taste to those as they have none added in.

->  HN> I'd love that as I could add a bit more ginger and less sugar!

-> Yes, adjust to your own needs.  Easier when they do not add salt or
sugar.
-> One thing I dislike on many spice blends is they put salt in as the main 
-> ingredient so if you want a heavier seasoning, you get too much salt.

As it is I usually make my own spice blends 
and my teriyaki from scratch...that way I do 
get the flavor profile I want.

While we are used to her being away and on 
her own, and she is too...we really LIKE each 
other still! And it's good to be able to spend 
a little time with her! I confess, she'll be my 
little princess as long as I am alive!  Enjoy 
every minute with Charlotte that you can! They 
grow up SO fast!
