Moyer has pitched for the most part very well this season, but has had no 
run support for his efforts...I think he has 8 losses where the M's scored no 
runs at all for him this season. If the Sox had made a bid for him it would not

have happened. Moyer has a very close relationship with Pat Gillick GM of the 
Phillies (and former GM of the M's), Gillick contacted the M's and wanted to 
talk trade for Moyer, the M's said they were not interested..but if Jamie 
wanted the deal then they could talk to him and if he approved the deal they 
could make a trade...and that's exactly what happened.

Well we started that ill fated road trip 5 games out of first and ended up 13.5

out...and the gap is widening.

Last nights game was poorly played by the M's and the Yanks took full 
advantage of our flawed play and gave us a trouncing that was even worse 
than the 9-2 score indicated.

I'd not be so worried about a fire than I would with an electric element
