I haven't figured out how they survive. Are there that
many people who have so little palate that they can't
taste freezer-burned, stale, or moldy food? And of this
population, how big can the subset be that enjoys service
that is so poor that absent is one step up? I've given them
a chance at maybe 10-year intervals; they don't improve.

There was a lawsuit by some black people that claimed
discrimination because they were ignored or not served at
Denny's; I thought that somewhat misplaced, for, after all,
should one complain when one is being discriminated in
favor of?

Fred Ball has reported that the food is downhill. I used to
have a ritual where I'd hire some folks to play a Christmas
Sunday gig every year, and on the way back I'd take the
musicians out to Cracker Barrel for lunch, and on that day,
the jollitude was actually genuine, I think. I didn't care
for the idiotic general store that you go through to get to
the eatery, though. Then a 99 opened up, and I started
patronizing that instead (the food is comparable in quality,
but it serves beer). Then I quit doing the gig, having better
places to be.

I'd _like_ to eat inside a missile silo, at least once.

I'd say it was good, probably as good as one can do outside
home or Popeye's or the deep south. The coating I find salty
but otherwise underseasoned, and the cooking is variable,
depending on the attention span of whoever's in the kitchen.
There have been times when it's been tender and juicy, even
the white meat, and a little shake of my own flavor enhancer
(which I used to carry everywhere with me, before the TSA
hysteria) made it quite excellent indeed. On the other hand,
once or twice after my firsts (usually two thighs) I gave up
on the chicken and ate only taco meat with minute rice followed
by bread pudding after.

I used to go to non-Asian AYCEs only in Las Vegas or with
select companions: Ella Lou and her daughter, or the not late
not quite lamented Patrick and the somewhat lamented Arlene,
or echo folks.

Texas Roadhouse is better. Outback cries out "squeeze every
penny until it cries."

Well, I got a just plain ordinary stacker once and it
was plenty. Checked out your description of the quad.
Amusing. By the way, did you know that that sandwich has
gotten over 100 mentions on blogspot alone? Yours was
one of the few that were both descriptive and literate.

House sprinkle 2006 version
cat: condiment
yield: 3 oz

7 ts potassium chloride
6 ts serrano or similar powder
4 ts garlic powder
1 ts salt
1 pn thyme

Mix all together and use instead of salt.
