Depends on how the airlines want to emphasize the high
position of those who have status versus the dusty polloi
down beneath. If they think that some businessman is going
to see me escorted on, and then say, damn, how'd he get
that privilege, and then go off and give all his business
to United so as to earn the privilege, than that'll be
worth it. I've never actually bumped a passenger, as I
almost never cut my schedule tight enough where I'd want
to inconvenience someone else; I have ascended like cream
or scum to the top of a waiting list for first class or
a standby list on occasion without qualm.

And there was that other post that suggested putting them
into a bag and telling some naive (I first read native)
children that it was a pinata filled with good things.

We were off by Saguaro Lake once in a Jeep, and my manic friend
Carl took off up a cliff; when we were up it, he said, that was
fun, let's do it again, so we went back down it and did just
that. We saw a Land Cruiser at the bottom, and Carl indicated
that no Land Cruiser could ever do this (I believe him). So he
decided to do it backward. Now that was hairy, looking down at
impending doom while motoring blind up a 50o or more incline.
It was satisfying, though, to see the Land Cruiser turn around
and motor off at top speed. Later Carl took me to a little
valley that he said was a junkyard - the banks were even steeper
and were covered in loose dust. That one was an experience that
I don't care to repeat: at a couple points I actually thought
we might topple down to the valley floor.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Blueberry Hazelnut Wheat Coffee Cake
 Categories: Cakes
      Yield: 1 Cake

    1/2 c  Real butter
    2/3 c  Sugar
      1 lg Egg
  1 1/2 c  Hard white wheat
           -- (grind until fine)
  1 1/2 c  Flour
      2 tb Poppy seeds
    1/2 ts Soda
    1/4 ts Salt
    1/2 c  Sour cream mix

MMMMM-----------------------------TOPPING----------------------------------
      2 c  Fresh or frozen blueberries
           -- (thawed, if frozen)
    1/3 c  Sugar
      2 ts Whole wheat flour
    1/4 ts Nutmeg
    1/2 c  Chopped Oregon hazelnuts

  Beat butter, sugar and egg until fluffy. Add ground wheat to the flour,
  poppy seeds, soda and salt. Mix 1/3 of dry mixture with butter mixture,
  then add 1/4 cup sour cream, then the remaining flour mixture. Continue
  to mix on medium speed for two minutes. Grease pan (bottom and sides)
  and dust with sugar. Spread batter over bottom and one inch up the
  sides. Combine all ingredients for topping and sprinkle over batter.
  Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Cool.
