Ärende: frozen potatoes

We didn't stew or hash the leftovers. I carved off two slices from the
top, sides and ends. The outer ones went to Roslind; the more rare
second slices were for me. We were left with a little brick of very red
meat. Today I oiled it, gave it a spice rub, laid a slab of suet on it
and roasted it a third time (30 minutes at 400 F) along with roasted
garlic and par-cooked-in-the-microwave baked potatoes. Because of the
melting suet dripping over the block it still wasn't overly dry and made
a nice second roast. The now crispy suet made a fine cook's treat and the
melted tallow was better than butter on the baked potatoes. Damned, I
love saturated fats!

 CS> Ah but it had me thinking.  They are Idahoes!  The bestest baking

      Title: Brussels Sprouts "Oriental"
 Categories: Vegetables, American
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
      2 lb Brussels sprouts
           Salt to taste
      1 ts Soy sauce
    1/2 ts Seasoned salt
      1 tb Butter
      5 oz can water chestnuts; sliced
 
  Combine all ingredients in small amount of water in saucepan. Simmer
  until sprouts are done.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: (FFF) PORK CHOP NOODLES
 Categories: Pork, Filipino, Noodles
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      4    Pork chops
      2 c  Beef or vegetable broth
      2 tb Olive oil
      4    Garlic cloves; minced
    500 g  Brussels sprouts; halved
      4    Celery stalks; sl 2.5cm
      1 lg Onion; sl 2.5cm
      1 tb Soy sauce
 
  Simmer the pork chops in the broth for 20 minutes, or till thoroughly
  cooked & tender. Remove from the liquid & drain, reserving the broth.
  When cool, cut the meat from the bone & slice into 1/4" strips.
  
  Using a wok, stir-fry the oil, garlic & brussels sprouts for 3 or 4
  minutes. Add the celery & onion. Stir-fry 5 minutes, or till the
  vegetables are tender. Add the soy sauce. Stir in the pork slices.
  Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes, or till the flavours have blended.
  
  Serve over hot noodles.
