 Just wanted to give you my appreciation for your sensitivity
 to the needs of non-lovers of dogs. Your courtesy is honored!
 I am sort of in control of my dog-phobia (I think something
 happened when I was 4YO) but too many of my encounters with
 other peoples' dogs are simply something I must endure. You
 apparently "get it", which many pet owners don't.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

      Title: Dog Bones
 Categories: Pets, Treat
      Yield: 1 Batch

      2 c  Flour
    1/2 c  Cornmeal
    1/2 c  Oatmeal
      5 T  Vegetable oil
    2/3 c  Water
      1 ea Jar of babyfood (any flavor)

    Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until you get dough that is
  easy to roll out. Roll to desired thickness and use cookie cutters to
  cut out shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350F for
  15 minutes or until brown. Cool on a towel before putting cookies in
  containers. They can also be frozen for use later. Note: In a pinch
  you can use a ground 7-grain mixture instead of cornmeal. Also if you
  want to use a fruit flavor baby food add spices like cinnamon or
  nutmeg for banana or peach flavors and if using meat flavor, add
  powdered brewers yeast and garlic. You can use peanut butter or
  homemade applesauce too.
