Hi Carol!
>> when things don't go as planned.. I guess that's pretty universal though :)
> True!
I have to admit to having caused a cast iron sink to fall on his head once Lol
Well, it wasn't funny then exactly, but we laugh now about it :) Normally the
two of us are hammering/sawing, and building etc.. My carpentry skills came
from building sets on the stage.. Ron just seems to have an inherent knowledge
since there are carpenters in his family :) Anyway, we have fun doing it <g>
I'm not sure what I want him to tackle next.. the floor needs to be stripped
over by the eating area, the walls need to be done there as well.. fun to plan
all this out too.

That's so great :) We had a sunroom in Louisville and it was great. I bet
you'll enjoy that room. Maybe you can find one of those spring-suspension rods
that expand to the size needed for your curtains?
> Hard to decide. We are discussing just what to move into the sunroom. The
> sleeper sofa for sure.
In louisville, I had lots of plants in ours ... and lots of bookcases/books ..
Alex was about 6 or 7 then, and he used to love lying on the floor reading in
there..
> Humm! Interesting idea! Not sure where you'd put it though unless you
> finish removing the old kitchen cabinets by the bay window. Thats alot of
Yep, they're slated to come out.. then I'll have to clean out the small
cupboard near the big fridge to store the stuff in the corner tall cabinet..
plus store all my canning bottles _someplace_ <grin>.. well, most of them will
get used and go into the large Canned Goods cabinet across from the stove.. if
the tomatoes ever ripen haha Oh! Took a look at the chinese long beans
yesterday, and they are soooooo long :) not chubby enough or dark enough to
pick yet, but probably a few days only for them to be ready. I've been waiting
for those! I also noticed that my second planting of the bok choy finally took
and there are about 4 or 5 good healthy plants out there .. finally! (grin)
> space just begging to be used for better storage, but something trimmer to

We'd figured to build a baywindow seating area, for sure over there so we'd
have more storage :) Brilliant minds think alike :)

haha.. yep, just what we planned to be honest.. The window begs it we thought
:) That will be built with spare cabints we have that are normally used for
'top' cabinets.. or we'll build it from scratch, not sure at this point. It
occured to us that we could use those smaller cabinets for it though.

I'm not sure.. could work in the other room like that, or we could take the
drawers out of one of the existing cabinets in the island. That's what I was
thinking :) There are SO many drawers in the center island right now :)
>> Definitely! That would not have been fun for ya...
> Nope and I was worried it would happen the whole time. Thats why I asked

Really.. can't imagine what that would have weighed! Glad you found something
that worked to empty it out.
>> Yeah, sorry to hear about that.. was it just one of those, "turn the wrong w

> Then, the neck went a bit yesterday. Not too bad but cant turn my head well
Geez.. that must hurt.

So I guess this happens a bit as well :(..
>> Ah you get that too.. that's a drag.. Ron gets numbness in his hip when he d
>> in his back.. :(
> Yup. It's the shooting pains I dont like, but they are random and not too
> often this time.
Glad to hear that. Hopefully if you can stay off your feet for a few days,
you'll be back to normal sooner than later!

Yes, that's also great to dig into.. did you see the recent excavation of
George Washington's original residence near Fredericksburg, Va.? That was my
cousin David (David Muraca) who is the director of the Washington Foundation
archeaolgy :) He's the son of my uncle who works for Nasa.. I named my
daughter after David's sister, Lauren as a matter of fact (g).. Lauren was also
very much into archeology but I don't think she's working in archeology right
now like David is. This is a link to the article:

I did buy his frozen mussels, and was really glad to find them there - I didn't
notice if they were precooked, but that will be fine if they are :)

> Maybe! Never a way to tell except with her kids I guess.
So far, Eoin still has problems with most of it, I think. I'll have to check
with Lauren to find out for sure though.. so much changes with kids, and so
fast..

hahahaha.. Yes, same with Toby.. You can distract him from anything with one of
those, or with a tennis ball (grin).

I'm usually the same way at places like that :) Ron doesn't mind either.. he
loves asian food and he knows that it makes such a difference if you've got the
right supplies.

I'll check the other store and see if I can find it.. did you get to try the
soy that I bought at Wegmans? It's a nice one and their asian section is well
stocked, generally. Anyway, I do want to get some of the Datu Puti and compare
it to the one I have.

It was easy to forget with all the activity going on in that kitchen :)
> The udon is also called 'alimentary paste' and is supposed to settle

That's exactly why I like Udon, that's funny.. :) I mean, I didn't realize
that it was also called that, but I sure know how much easier it is for me to
eat compared to some others.
> Hehe. At this stage, wrap the tofu if there is any left, in a plastic wrap.
Yes, I did that when I noticed it in the fridge :)
> It should keep about 1 more week? This is the Korean version of 'soft' and

Ok, good to know.

Will do.

I've got tons of broccoli florets in my garden, and while not the same as
chinese broccoli, it is yummy :)
> Now to find Michael's recipe for that lamb curry!
Yes, that looks good :) I saved that one right away :)
Take care,
Janis
