My counters go back to when the house was built. They're laminate, but
tougher than anything they install now.

Around here you wouldn't dare use chicken fat for that; it attracts the
wrong class of customer.

Around here there are no babies in the tall grass; Mamma Rabbit generally
doesn't raise babies in places cats like to nap.
