yep! I keep cloth bags in both cars and I'm pretty good 
about remembering to take them into the store as well.
Plus, we get a 5 cents a bag discount, so I usually get
a whopping 15 cents off my bill! (grin)

I don't think it's so much a "get over it thing" as
identifying with a common emotion that we all
experience at stages in our lives when we are
feeling less in control and more at the mercy of
whats going on around us. And of course there's 
Charley's unflagging optimism that "this time she'll
hold the ball and I'll kick it!!" . I know for me at 
times it was comforting to know there was at 
least one person who was even more hopeless,
helpless, and inept than I was!

It's a very mixed bag of grad students, more
than half of them are at some level of 
"vegetarian"...some will use chicken stock,
some are almost vegan, and some just 
don't eat what they dont' care for and 
call it vegetarian (grin). I told one young 
lady from Bogota Columbia (who is SO much
like Amanda), that I was a "porketarian" and 
she thought that was SO funny. She loves
pork, but never got it at "home" as her mother
thinks it's "dirty" meat. (in this case I think the
mother has seen the way pigs were raised and
killed in the countryside...which is most certainly
NOT the most hygenic process). Some of them
are learning to cook, some are already fairly 
good at it, but a few (the young man from
Bangkok in particular) are so bad that they 
are afraid to try to cook.

-> tornadoes in the area but not as bad as Florida.  It's helping ease the

Anne's sister lives in Palm Bay which evidently was hit
the very worst of anywhere...I guess they had something
like 30" of rain in 24 hours! Lots of flooding and the pond
behind their house grew to about 3 times it's normal size and
came about halfway up to their house!
