The only non B&M financial institution I deal with is PayPal. If I ever have 
positive balance with them long enough I suppose I will have them issue me a
debit card.

Absolutely - for both banks. And, they are local - not part of some mega-bank
chain. Which also means that I can go and punch the president of the bank on
the nose if I get sufficiently aggravated at something he/his bank has done.

And both banks have offices convenient to where I live as well as where I work.
I seldom have occasion to visit them as my Social Security cheques and my
payroll are on direct deposit. And I keep tabs on the accounts via on-line
banking using the internet. Heck, one of the banks has free (no extra charges
to me) bill pay ... which I use. 

I asked a lady I know who works at my nearest office of that bank how the bank
makes $$$ off of this service - according to her it costs them enough less to
process the payment VS processing a paper cheque that I wrote (and storing the
image of the cheque, etc) that they can eat the postage and paper costs and
still come out ahead.  Bv)=

      Title: Cantaloupe Fruit Salad
 Categories: Fruits, Salads, Nuts, Citrus
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      2 md Cantaloupes; peeled, in
           - chunks
      1    Pineapple; cored, peeled, in
           - chunks
      1 c  Raisins
      1 c  Shredded coconut
      1 c  Fine chopped walnuts or
           - pecans
      1 lg Apple; cored, unpeeled, in
           - chunks
      1 c  Plain yogurt
      1 ts Grated orange peel
 
  This is the ideal summer salad to accompany whatever you're
  grilling. It's healthful, cool and pretty. And don't think
  that added sugar will improve the taste. The natural sugars
  in the fruit combine perfectly with the tartness of the
  yogurt for a delicious, refreshing side dish.
  
  Stir together the yogurt and orange peel. Chill.
  
  Mix all fruits in a large salad bowl. At serving time, add
  the nuts and pour chilled yogurt mixture over fruit, toss,
  and serve.
  
  Note: Be sure your cantaloupes are at their peak. The nose
  knows best when you are shopping for cantaloupes. If you
  can't smell the sweetness, you probably won't be able to
  taste it either.
