You do realize that the International Eastern Wine Competition
is not a credible source. Look at the competition; better, look
at the list of winners. Even best, look at the Website of the
event. Calling it the USA Today of wine expos would be too kind.
Closer to the Enquirer. As far as I can see, it funds itself by
selling medal stickers to put on bottles.

And don't exhibit. Again, look at the competition list.

Nope. My point is that (especially with the Eastern competition
you cite) nobody with an educated palate was a judge at these
competitions; or if s/he was, his or her tastebuds had to be
checked at the door.

  I view the medals of 2 Buck chuck as similar in

That's probably one of the sillier comments that I've read
lately. If it were true, think how the wine business would
have changed by now. And don't give me any hoohah about how
the industry won't allow such: look how one of the biggest
players was brought to its knees recently by one stupid
indiscretion. The major winners from such an occurrence would
be the big entrants in this market, mostly Constellation and
Gallo, who between them have as close to an infinite amount
of punch as anyone in any field.
