I was 25 when Rachel was born, a month short of 27 for Deborah.  I'm
glad I had them young; I could never keep up with them now.

Most likely.  One of these days we hope to be closer to Robert so he can
visit us easier.

Yes, and one thing we appreciated about it was that you didn't see the
commercialisation of it so early in the year as in the States.  One year
in Berlin the first sign I saw of it on the economy was in a grocery
store I went into at the end of October; they were just getting their
Christmas display out. OTOH, the PX had had theirs out since Labor Day.

Now that sounds like a fun idea!  We may have to find a place to stay
closer on than my parents so we can be in on all the fun.  Besides, it
would beat driving around the Pepacton reservoir at night; we don't want
to contribute car killed venison to the picnic.

I've got cast iron skillets that are 6,9,10,12,and 14 inches plus a
dutch oven.  The 3 smallest skillets get used a lot but it's nice to
have the big ones from time to time. (G)  The dutch oven is fast getting
to be a favorite for certain things, braising is so easy with it.
