The former.  They're dead easy to tap, but the sap is much less sweet.  I
think it's like a 10-1 ratio or something.  That means 10 times as much
fuel too. It's not worth the effort unless you need clean drinking water or
something.  The tree sap would be safe - the tree acts like a filter.

Yep - Crash Bang Kitty is alive and well and living in New York.  I know

I think he uses soft wheat flour.  NOT a good idea.

Smoked chicken...sounds good to me too.  I had homemade pea soup.  Pretty
good if I do say so.  Tomorrow I have to go get a roast (spoon, chuck eye,
bottom round etc - whatever looks right) for sauerbraten.  That's
traditional New Year's food in this house.
