Yes, caught her for a change this morning.  I got off work and home at about
6:30 am and tried to stay up til 8pm but ended up nose diving at 2pm til 9pm.
 Now I'll be up most of the night.

I didnt really track the show well (was nattering with Don) but I saw several
perfectly sane recipes roll out with use of various cans and some pre-sliced
thin meat 'ready to stir-fry'.  It was not all 'cans and pre-sliced'.  It
truely fit 'semi-home made' well and was a decent looking dish I wouldnt be
upset to make.

It went sortof like this:

1 can oriental stir-fry veggies with water chestnuts (I have a can here)

3-4 carrots which went in a food chopper that sliced them

1 onion (she cut it, not pre-cut)

pre-sliced meat (lets face it, getting a thin cut is a little time
consuming!  I've been known to get pre-sliced too if the price was
reasonable)

Oyster sauce?  Wasnt sure, was nattering with Don

Broccoli flowers (I get whole but then we like the stems too)

Broth from a can (beef I think but wasnt sure).

Some seasoning packet, looked like a standard stir-fry sort?

All in all, not a horrid meal.  I'd use something like it over rice and in 
fact was munching on some leftover chinese dish Don made the night before by
the time her stuff was ready.

I am sure everyone here has made something 'like it' even if there is some
variation.

I'm looking at a can of Snow's Ocean Chopped Clams, 1.44Kg (bit over 3 lbs)
that I picked up at BJ's.  This is a sample of 'semi-home made' that I think
she might have on a show though she'd probably make a smaller batch.

I am thinking a New England clam chowder with it, cream (not the sugar added
stuff, but the other one), butter, possibly some cubed cooked waxy potatoes
(small reds with skin on work for me here), parsley, and green onion or leek.
 Black pepper.  My family loves NE Clam chowder.  I usually get premade
canned (Snows, progresso etc) but now and again I try my hand at it.

As an alternative, I might do the Manhatten style (possibly some of each,
it's a fair sized can!) using 2 cans of diced tomatoes and juice, 1 can
hot-n-spicy V-8, leeks, and whatever else seems right.
