OK, so a tub of pork or bacon base would last me a lifetime at that rate
of use if I were the only consumer.  But, nice to keep in mind  for the
chicken or beef bases.

That does look good.  Our weather is finally (!) warming up a bit.  Our
new fridge had a melt down last night (a replacement for the one that
had the same thing happen right after Steve got back from Las Vegas).
We had to off load it into the big freezer (lots of room there now) and
a couple of ice chests; if we still had perishables, they could have
been put outside and kept. Housing brought us an overnight loaner and a
new Maytag (vs GE) this morning.  Turns out there's a known defect (now
under recall) with the defrost cycle part of the digital circuit board.
We've only got 3 more months in this housing so hopefully it'll last.

I've mentioned different "why did they do that?" "features" of this
housing before; found out another one last night.  The walk thru between
the kitchen and family room is flanked by the pantry and a counter bar
for the sink and dishwasher. At the other end of the family room are
double doors to the outside.  Nice for bringing in appliances, you would
think.  Nope, the walk thru is too narrow for a standard fridge (and I
suspect range also) to fit thru.  I told Steve last night that this
housing was probably designed by somebody who had no plans to live in
it. (G)
