Maybe better to save up a few more pennies and do a reconfiguration of
the kitchen?  That might be best in the long run if you're planning to
stay in that house.

I've got several things like that--the old microwave cart, my sewing
machine cabinet, my cutting table, ................handy to have.

Taking your time is better than rushing in to a job you'll regret later.
Especially something like a kitchen re do.

Yes, and for me, the toaster and electric can opener are the 2 biggest
use items on that counter.  The KA gets a fair amount of use, more than
I thought I would use it when we first got it.  Now that I have it,I'm
using it quite a bit.

That's what counts.

I've never had the experience of coming back to a place from an
assignment so I've not done that.  But at times, I've gone trying to put
something where I stowed it in a past assignment and can't--or, like
Steve does, looking for something where it was in a previous assignment.
