That's interesting; you would think on issues like baggers, cahiers and
all, the policy would be the same, system wide.  All the military
commissaries are under one umbrella, the Defense Commisary Agency (DeCA)
so Carol's Navy commissary is run the same way our Army one is.  There
are varients in what's stocked in each one tho.  We miss the little nook
of Hawaiian goods (tea, macadamia nuts, etc) that we got out in HI;
there's no real GA regional stocking at this one.

Acceptance was received by e-mail Wed. night.  He's been pinging off the
walls ever since.  He goe even bouncier when Rachel called to let us
know she (and the kids) will be out next month for his retirement
ceremony.  As for the transition back to civilian life--we've sort of
started it with this assignment.  More of my medical care (beyond basic
issues) is done with civilian doctors off post; we're shopping for more
groceries at stores other than the commssary (partly because this one
doesn't carry nearly all we like) and so on. This has been a good
assignment for making the transition.

It's good that they do ask; we usually have to let ours know. We only
buy (chocolate) soy milk; Steve makes the regular soy. We have to take
everything out of the buggy or basket so it's all handled several times
by the time it is finally put away. The baggers always do let us know
which bag has the eggs in it when Steve loads the car.

We do have a weigh limit but it's also a matter of our room on the book
shelves for such things. Steve will be getting a lot more books in the
next 3 years. (G)

Get some fruit/veggie printed fabric, cut out the individual items and
fuse/applique them on. Or, find a friend with an embroidery machine and
have them stitched on.  The logo, being copyrighted, you'll have to do
without but you'll have one of a kind bags.
