That must be a dilemma, living so close to the border.  Maybe the best
plan is to take the passport all the time, just in case.  Even tho Steve
is now retired military, I still carry the miltary ID on me whenever we
go out.  Same idea; it is smaller than a passport however & fits nicely
into my ID cards case.

Or, make it hard enough that you'll give up drinking out of frustration
with the time and rigamarole needed to buy liquor.
