If you have the time and money, that's one way to see the country.  I've
never done any distance travel on trains--a few short trips in Europe
but nothing here in the USA excursion (short trip) train rides.  Years
ago, when Steve was sent to Monetery, CA for his language training, he
suggested I look into taking a train out to join him.  At the time, we
had a 3 year old and a not quite 5 year old.  The trains would have
taken 3 days with multiple changes. It was not the kind of thing I'd
want to do with young children.  We were able to fly out instead,
getting there in one (long) day.

Class doesn't mean good entertainment all the time.  One of my favorite
FN shows is Good Eats--not high brow but very entertaining and
educational.

Even with a legal drinking age of 18?

I don't have that problem either; I don't buy anything that would get me
carded.

We were in the right lane but someone else was in the wrong one as we
were coming back from Savannah a few weeks ago.  This was in SC, not on
I-95 but a secondary road.  He realised his mistake when he saw us
coming and backed down the ramp but gave us a few seconds of heart
failure.
