Well I dunno about that high tech stuff, just knew that if you
drank a case and barfed it up, then you could get a little tipsy
on the next one. And it taste like water too. We got the swill
the Army would provide us with. Then just before we pulled out
of Korea the Navy started feeding us again and life on the chow
line improved tremendously. Military feeds though great from
the Navy, pales compared to the Air Force. Those guys know how to
live. We stopped at an air base in Irakuska and went for chow.
Japanese guy met us at the door wearing a white shirt and bow tie.
Ask "how many in your party" and when we said four led us to a
table with place settings, like you know real plates and napkins.
Brought coffee in real cups and said our waitress would be with
us in a few minutes if we cared to browse the menu. Hell we were
sitting in mud eating out of tin cans just 24 hours earlier.
 Quite a shock..

DD> I did run across a light alcohol beer in the 1960s (and it may have

Never heard of that in a beer. And you might be right on the way beer
is measured, I don't know. I no longer drink beer for the buzz, but I
do like a cold one now and then for the taste. Especially with greasy
 foods like BBQ.

... A plateau is a high form of flattery.
