Probably not; we'd thought it would be so at one point.  But, changes in
my health mean that we'll most likely work stateside.  We'd like for it
to be out west but don't know yet if that will be a possibility.

We've had a fair amount more beef and pork than we used to since moving
up here.  Steve is starting to have some cholesterol problems so we'll
be eating more poultry.  Better for me too. (G)

We got the hanging planter right after we got back from our trip, about
July 4.  The next week we got the soil and tomato plants so it was mid
July-ish before we put it up.  So, no, not really, considering when they
were started.  We've got about 14 tomatoes in various stages of
development now.

-> Steve's  mom brought several heads of NY State garlic with her when she
-> came to visit us.  Today I roasted 3, with a drizzle of olive oil &
-> salt.  When they cooled, I squeezed the cloves into a bowl, mashed them
-> and added a bit more olive oil.  Then I put them on a wax paper lined
-> pan in roughly teaspoon size amounts and put it in the freezer.
-> Tomorrow morning I'll pop them out and into a container so I can have
-> roasted garlic for garlic butter, etc on hand.  I may do a few more
-> heads the next time I need to use the oven.

 hn> Good thinking, I should do that as well...

Easy enough to do.  Makes the house smell nice and garlicy. (G)
