Yesterday I got nothing except my own single msg that I had posted the
previous day, while the day before I got 7 msgs, mainly from young
Jim.  Today, 111 came in, including a few dups.  I really don't care
much, providing they all arrive eventually.

What is more to the point is that today the temp reached C40.8 (105F),
and the water pump on my evaporative aircon failed, and I had 5 lamb
hearts to cook...

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Batchoy
 Categories: Soups, Filipino
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
    1/2 c  Pork, sliced serving sizes
    1/2 c  Pork liver, sliced
    1/2 ts Ginger, cut into fine strips
    1/4 c  Pork heart, sliced
    1/4 c  Pork kidney, sliced and
           Boiled
    1/4 c  Green onions, finely cut
    1/2 c  Sweet red and green pepper,
           Cut into strips
           Dash of pepper to taste
      4 c  Meat stock
      2 tb Cooking fat
      2 tb Onion, sliced
      2 ts Fish sauce
      1 ts Garlic, minced
      1 ts Salt
      1    Bundle misua (egg noodles),
           Broken into 2-inch lengths
 
  Saute garlic, onion, and ginger. Add pork, liver, heart, and kidney.
  Cover and cook 5 minutes over moderate heat. Add meat stock and bring
  to a boil. Season with fish sauce, salt and pepper. Add sweet red and
  green pepper and cook 2 minutes. Add misua and cook for another 3
  minutes. Serve hot with sprinkled green onions on top. OPTIONAL:
  before sprinkling green onions, add a raw egg on each bowl before
  serving.
