Are you kidding??? I did better hanging out NEAR the Beach Boys (who lived, at
that time, on Hyde Park Blvd in Inglewood) and catching fallen groupies
(twice). The only things female (or appearing female anyway) on Hollywood Blvd
that would give us a second glance were the coin-op, street corner beavers. 

Fortunately for our ultimate health and well-being we never had any coins (nor
inclination) to pay the slot-machine sheilas.   Bv)=

Yeah, right. The gummint had lotsa gelt. The B Troop picnic fund was always

926-D Orchard Drive. Between Arbor Vita and Hardy St. According to Google Maps
the former Lincoln-Mercury/Lamborghini/DeTomaso dealer that was between my
place and LaBrea is now a huge U-Haul location. And the Smart & Final outlet
market on LaBrea is now a Best-Way Supermarket. And the Bob's Big Boy at
Century & LaBrea is a CVS pharmacy (sob) Ate a LOT of burgers at Bob's.

I dealt with a gun shop over on Prairie just south of Century - where I bought
a pair of consecutive numbered Savage .32 automatics and a .378 Weatherbee ...
all at excellent prices. All of which I wish I still owned.  Bv[=

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Big Boy Hamburger & Sauce
 Categories: Sandwiches, Beef, Breads, Sauces
      Yield: 4 servings

      1 C  Shredded lettuce
      8    Jumbo sesame seed buns
      1 lb Ground chuck
           Salt
      4 sl American cheese

MMMMM----------------------BIG BOY SAUCE----------------------------
      2 ts Water
      2 tb Sweet pickle relish
    1/4 c  Mayonnaise
      2 tb Ketchup

  How to Make Big Boy Sauce: This is really easy just combine
  the relish, mayonnaise,water and ketchup. That's your big
  boy sauce

  How to Make A Big Boy Burger: On waxed paper form the beef
  into eight equal sized, round patties about 4" in diameter.

  Discard the top half of four of the eight buns. Now toast
  the the buns until golden. The extra bottom, is your middle
  bun.

  After the buns are toasted, now grill your beef patties and
  salt liberally. Cook for about two minutes, then turn and
  add another sprinkle of salt. Cook for about another two
  minutes.

  Now dress your Big Boy buns while the beef is cooking. Put
  half the sauce on the toasted bottom, and the other half on
  the middle, adding 1/8 cup of lettuce to each. The slice of
  cheese goes on top of the lettuce on the true bottom bun.

  When the beef patty is cooked, drain excess fat by tilting
  the patty to the side while holding it to the spatula with
  your free hand. Put one patty on each dressed bun, stack the
  center, non-cheese patty/bun on top of the bottom cheese
  patty/bun. Finish by placing the toasted crowns on top.
