Hi Ruth,

>> Yes, meanwhile, I keep up with the excercises. Eventually one of us

> I'd bet on you too, if I were a betting person. (G)

:)

I can be stubborn but with this kind of thing I think you have to be (g).

>> mention. If I can just get it done, I know that once I sit down, I'll
>> recover
>> (eventually).

> Same here. Saturday night tho it seemed like my body was hurting all

Some is always better than none .. Do you take naps at least? (not the 10
minute ones (bg))

>> days'. But I'd still rather not have to do that. The therapist is
>> talking about one for my leg or
>> alternately one for my ankle to fix the 'drop foot' that's developed.
>> We're working on strengthening my ankles and that's a rough one right

That makes sense and I can see how it could happen. It's the reason I've
resisted any type of walking aid. But... I just got a phone call from the
company that makes Ampyra, the drug that I've been waiting for. The
representative said Aetna should be calling me in 2 days to make arrangements
to get the drug here. Ampyra will be sent to Aetna, I'll pay a $40.00 copay
(geez) and Aetna will ship the drug to me. With my insurance, the copay would
have been $70.00 actually - boy is that insane.. but the company that makes
Ampyra is putting up $30.00 to make the drug affordable. The representative
also told me that my Doctor's letter to the insurance company was so effective,
they are making copies of it and sending it to a ton of doctors who have
patients that have had their insurance claims rejected (hahaha)

It's funny but for all the room in my kitchen, I really only use a small
 space.. I have things nearby so I don't have to traipse all over the kitchen
to get this or that... Depending on what I'm making, I may use one section or
the other (baking as opposed to making macaroni, etc.). Anyway, I can certainly
understand making good use of the space you have.

> Yes, 've got a plate and screws in it, same as my wrists but actually,
> more range of motion.

That's just amazing to hear about.. one takes so much for granted.

>> should give her another call.. don't want to be a pest but it seems
>> like such an open and shut case.. :(

> I'd give a couple of weeks, minimum. It takes time for some folks to
> get up and moving on something, then sending reports back down the
> chain.

Was much faster once my doctor sent in that letter to Aetna.. mere days if
that. I was in shock when the Ampyra people called me today :)

>> hahaha that sounds just like me (grin).. I love to cook, but am not
>> crazy about eating all the stuff I make (grin).. or eating in general.

> I go on fits and spurts with eating. When I'm sick, I don't eat much.
> Feeling better, I'll pig out at first but then cut back.

When I'm tired, I hate chewing - so coffee is so much easier to swallow then
(g). Going to make a ton of yogurt today since that's always easy to eat...
and a little better than coffee for the body (g).

>>> ==Pumpkin bread==
>>> 10" tube pan
>>> Preheat oven to 350F

>> > About like mine but I use a 5x9 loaf pan.

>> That recipe is a big bread/cake.. so it really needs a 10" tube.

> Would a bundt pan work?

Depends on how deep it is. I don't have a bundt pan so I can't compare. I'll
measure how many cups of water fit in the tube pan though, and let you know.
That should give you an idea.

Take care,
Janis
