I've not know nany in person but a lot of them are the type that just
like to lend their name to a "warm fuzzy" cause.

I think the beter word would be apprehensive.  Due to Stve's military
career, she didn't have too much exposure to them.  When she did get
near one, it was a big, stinky critter as far as she was concerned. She
did know she got milk and (some) meat from it.  OTOH, her sister, at one
time, was planning to be a large animal vet so she had no apprehensions
of cows, horses, etc.

The "Tonight"show just isn't the same with Jay Leno and Kevin whatever
his name is.  I watch a bit every so often--usually Friday if he's doing
a "Jaywalking" segment.  But there's a lady in the band that gets up and
caterwauls (that's what it sounds like) while tossing around an
overgrown gourd.  No Doc there.

Not the sleepy little towns they used to be. I've got a couple of
college friends that live in the area; he's pastored several churches in
and around the area.

Looks good. Cream cheese goes with a lot of that kind of bread.

Small world.  But then, I've run into folks I've known or have been to
the Margaretville area when we've been halfway around the world from it.

Yes, Deborah had enlisted in the NG just a few weeks before. She was
wondering if she would be called to go early for her basic training.  As
is, she wasn't but my younger brother did have to go to the NYC area and
supervise the re-opening of a land fill that he'd supervised the closing
of just a few months before.

It does use them but there are quite a few things in it she could use.
Another, tho non veg, cook book I like is "More With Less" put out by
the Mennonite Central Committee.  It has a lot of meatless meals
emphasizing complimentary proteins.
