Hi Ruth,

oof.. working in the garden just now in the blazing heat and sun out there was
incredible today :) :) Feels like 90, but the temp only says 69.. nice sunshine
though for a change (bg).

This was especially nice since Ron's aunt pulled out all the photo albums she
had of old photos of his family that she wanted to make sure she gave to Ron.
Some of them were incredible... people that Ron had never met. Like Ron's
grandfather who'd died when his father was just 13 - His grandfather had
drowned due to a hernia attack while swimming, leaving the 8 kids to be raised,
some on their own, some by the eldest daughter and others by relatives... their
Mother had already passed away. Those must have been very rough times for those
kids.

We're picky about the buffet we go to, generally.. or at least try to be.. but
you're right, most of them are sad.  If you're careful, you can find some good
food there.  I really prefer the restaurants though to the buffets to be
honest.. we have a few good ones that serve sushi, and also other japanese
cusine.  There's a thai restaurant that we haven't been able to get into yet..
everytime we go there, they are packed.. just to busy to even think about
parking..   Our favorite though is the korean restaurant though.

I know.. you'd think they would have someone on the staff who's got the job of
watching that people's dietary needs are met.. but they don't. This is the
Atria Assisted-living Retirement company or whatever.. hard to imagine..

That's about what it sounds like to me, from what she's told me.

You'll have to describe it for me :)  I will admit to being a little "afraid"

Yep.. It will be something that our kids will be able to hear for generations.
Which is amazing in itself...

Ah.. right, Mountain woman :) :)  I grew up in the Valley haha. I guess that
makes me a Valley Girl?? (laugh) Well, not quite that bad I hope Lol.. I did
hang out in the mountains since the drum corp I belonged to played up there
quite often (parades, etc.). Ron and I knew so many of the same people when we
first met, it was uncanny.  Through meeting people in the drum corps, I'd stay
up there in the summers sometimes with friends I'd met.

I do love the view driving up to Binghamton.. even moreso the view driving to
Delaware County... incredible views of the catskills..

That must have been very very weird to see :)
