Hi Carol,

CS> Oh thats the truth. She had to whip out her checkbook on the spot.
She probably knew she was going to have to pay charges and had some
money put aside for it. Still, I imagine she will watch the weight limit
better on her next move. (G)
CS> If there was a way to pay in installemnts, I didnt over hear it. (I
CS> was trying to be polite but couldnt help hear about it).
I know, those "offices" don't leave much room for privacy.

Then I'll pull mine out and start playing with it. If I use small
amounts, it shouldn't affect either Steve's or my blood pressure anyway.

Something in it that keeps it like that?

CS> Can I make a suggestion? See if Steve can sign you up just yourself
CS> right now. The Navy class I was in was for all branches (there's
CS> nothing branch specific in TAP but the name may be different for you).
CS> Spouses are highly encouraged to attend and do not need the military

CS> Steve and you can go again.
Easier said than done at this post. I suspect I'd have to go down to
Fort Stewart for most of them and since I don't drive........ I'll keep
my eyes open in the post paper to see what I can get here.
CS> Much of what they will tell you about, really *really* needs to start
CS> 12 months out.
CS> Ours is 4 days long then there are ancillary classes for specific
CS> needs, such as one specific for folks like me who need to pre-file for
I think but can't say 100% that the Army version is 2 weeks.
CS> disability
CS> benefits with the VA. If you wait til retirement for that, it can
CS> take up to 2 years (backpaid but without interest etc). Mega
CS> difference between 50% and above, and 40% or below. New laws passed
CS> on that.
I know Steve will try to do as much as he can in the next few
weeks/months. Some of it can probably be done on line I suspect. As
long as he doesn't try to retire, then get caught by stop loss....
CS> Some of it wont be all that relevant to you, but it wont hurt you to
CS> find out how to do a proper job interview or how to write a resume
Or how to feed the family on a extra low budget until the retirement pay
kickes in. I coud teach that one. (G)
CS> <g>. They even had a section on how a spouse who hasnt been working
CS> due to constant moves, can do one.
I've been self employed at various places. Not made a bundle of money
but it's generally been my hours, whenever I want.

CS> The SBP is better than it used to be on rates. If you'll elect to

Things like that we'll get the detail on.
CS> give you a payback for life of 550$ (just dont remarry before you are

I'm not planning to; it's not that far away anyways. (G)

CS> Oh that would be interesting!
I meant using the hot pepper bit as the center, fire ball. That would
light up your mouth!

CS> Yes, even at worst looks like I can be there by the Saturday portion
CS> and after that.
That's the big day, anyway. The others just add interesting side notes.

I expect her to fit in, no trouble. She probably has her own tales to
tell about your family cooking, especially if Don tried something unusal
while you were on one of your cruises.

CS> ;-) At least everyone got some!
Everybody that wanted pumpkin anyway. I don't care for it as much as I
like others so............any way, I'm glad I made 2 pies. The same
nephew and his brother (who was only 6 months old at the first
Thanksgiving mentioned) cleaned up a pie I'd left at their house 5 years
ago when we went--just before Robert was born. Their dad, another major
pumpkin pie eater, didn't get any so I offered to make one just for him.
He apreciated the offer but declined, as I only had a day or do before
going back to HI at that point.
