This one will for an additional fee which is added to the "rent" one pays.
IIRC, it hikes the cost up about $1000.00/month.  I could be wrong there, but
that's what I'm remembering from other conversations with family members.

Yes, another option as well.  When Ron's parents took ill, and were alone in
Sullivan county, we hired a woman to stop in on them and make sure they took
their meds, and all was well with them.  She did some basic house keeping for
them as well, so that worked out well.

Yes indeed.  Ron and I went through this kind of thing when his parents were
both still alive. It was rough then. They had a very rough time in a nursing
home where they were living..So we took both of them in while we were living in
Louisville.

Yes, it's a bit of responsibility.. one I've shared before with Ron's parents,
and in having Mom come and stay here for several months in previous years. But
as you say, the plus is that I get to see her a lot more!  I love cooking when
she's here, she gets such a kick out of my cooking :)  And I know she's eating
right as well :)

That was some misinformation from the hospital.. it wasn't blood from her
stomach at all.  She's ok as far as that goes :)  What they determined is she
had a blockage in her small intestine, and they are treating that with a liquid
diet.  In doing that, they hope to avoid surgery - which we all find a HUGE
relief!  She's not out of the woods yet, but at least we can see a light at the
end of the tunnel and we're hoping she'll be released soon so these other
considerations can be dealt with.  Thank you so much for all your prayers :)
