When Steve moved to NC in 1974, he was informed that his grandchildren
could be considered southerners. That was from an "old guard" family
member he met thru the county historical society; the church folks took
him (and then me) right in.

Same with Steve and me. That was one of my "problems" with school work
here; I didn't have time for "recreational" reading if I was in the
midst of a class. But, I've adjusted to it and read for my own pleasure
between sessions. Which reminds me, I need to grab a book to take on the
upcoming trip, probably the one on the wives of Henry VIII Rachel gave
me. I'll also check out Deborah's cook book collection but I think she
gets a lot of her recipes off the internet. Allrecipies.com and places
like that.

Quite the system you had going there to beat the high school kids. (G)
Sounds like there were some rough ones in the group of older kids, not
the kind you'ld want to tangle with.
