Welcome home Ruth!

-> Slept in till 10 (!) this morning. I'd not slept too well since before I
-> left on the trip so this must have been my catch up. Spent a good bit of
-> today on various things (laundry, groceries, etc) so hopefully am tired
-> enough to sleep good tonight.

I take Anne out once or twice a week...last 
week we went for a ten minute walk for exercise.
Came home and Anne needed a two hour nap! Still 
she's determined about that ten minute walk!!

-> ->  HN> Sure, like what song was playing at the
-> ->  HN> resaurant when the appetizers came on the
-> ->  HN> night she got proposed to. We guys never

-> -> Steve proposed, then took me out to dinner. Asked the big question at
-> -> sunset on the Bogue fishing pier on Emerald Isle. Went to dinner at

-> -> A & Francis, where I had oysters for the first time. Went back a year

-> Yes, and that will be 37 years at the end of next month.

Coming up on 39 for Anne and I.

-> ->  HN> Nope, it's a true farmer's market, so it
-> ->  HN> will close up in November sometime and
-> ->  HN> reopen next spring. The Pepper Guy leases
-> 
-> -> Ours closes its every week run at the end of November but will go to
-> -> first & third Saturdays of the month until first Saturday of April.
-> 
->  hn> There is talk of keeping it open longer as
->  hn> a venue for Christmas shopping, there are
->  hn> more and more "non farmer" vendors there
->  hn> each year.
-> 
-> We've got some non farmer vendors as well. They tried splitting it into
-> 2 markets last year but there weren't enough crafters to sustain a
-> separate one. The market also sets up the day before Thanksgiving for
-> last minute goodies/special ordering for Christmas.

There are several farmers markets in the area 
(within 30 miles) and several "Craft Fairs" 
every month as well...we seem to have no
shortage of either one!
 
-> ->  HN> land in Eastern Washington and has his
-> ->  HN> peppers grown there. You can only get them
-> 
-> -> Ours are all grown up the road (sort of) from us. As with yours, only
-> -> available when they're harvested. I can either get pint baskets of
one
-> -> variety for $1.00 or fill a pint with my choices for the same price.
-> -> Clean & fresh, same as the rest of her produce.

->  hn> I like my pepper guy..he also brings over

->  hn> he loves his peppers best...and so do I! Maybe

-> Yes, the babies are growing as babies do. One is now 6 months, the other
-> 3 months. Sarah just celebrated her 3rd birthday last Friday; she looked
-> like a fairy in her flower girl dress & fancy hair-do. Robert will be 8
-> at the end of November and looded so sharp in his ring bearer tux! All
-> growing up too fast for me. (G)

Yup, seems like the years start popping
by faster as we get older! When I was young
it seemed like a summer lasted about three 
years...now it seems to be less than 
three months!! (grin)

-> ->  HN> itinerary! Believe me it HELPS!!

-> -> I suspect it would be a good idea to do likewise. I used to go over

-> -> week's appointments, etc on the drive home from church Sunday 
evenings.
-> -> Now we walk to church & there's no evening service.

->  hn> something where we could look at
->  hn> the week's "calendar" and double
->  hn> check whether we were "free" for
->  hn> another appointment or not!

-> Do you carry a pocket calendar as well? That helps me keep track of
-> comings and goings.

I use Google calender and it automatically
sync's with my Ipod and when I have an
appointment or something listed on 
google calender my Ipod will give me
the alarm!! Very cool!!
 
-> -> Menu for the sit down dinner at the wedding was: Tower of Ahi Tuna
-> -> (forgive the mainlanders, they don't know they're redundant) Poke
-> -> (Avocado, Cucumber, Green Papaya--plus I think it was thin won ton 
skins
-> -> fried, and something spicy); Pepper seared Medallion of Beef & Half
-> -> Maine Lobster (Potato Gratin, Grilled Lemon Aspargus, Mushroom
Marsala
-> -> Sauce, Lemon Butter) plus rolls (choice of sourdough or whole wheat);
-> -> Wedding Cake (White Chocolate Raspberry). Robert was the ring bearer

-> -> sat beside me at dinner. He and Sarah (flower girl) had fruit cups, 
then
-> -> he was given a plate of chicken fingers and fries. A few minutes
after
-> -> I'd been given my roll (I turned away to talk to someone), I noticed 
it
-> -> was gone. Robert had helped himself and was enjoying it. I was able
to
-> -> get another one.
-> 
->  hn> Man does not live by chicken fingers alone!!
-> 
-> Nope, this young man wanted some more carbs and saw a chance to get
-> some.
