Yes to all, but you are lucky if the headache lasts only for
some hours (as opposed to many hours).

What would be the angle to minimize that kind of distraction?
I seem to recall that the oldest auto windows were at 0 degrees.

In my case they sometimes coincide, sometimes not.

Not necessarily - outside sounds continue to be heard at
almost full strength, and even if no, assuming my instrument
was tuned properly, muscular memory would take care of almost
everything.

Better than red wine or woody liquors, whose congeners contribute
to various kinds of headache pain.

Jay McCarthy's Cactus Ritas

10 lg purple prickly-pear fruits
Crushed ice
750 ml tequila plata
375 ml Cointreau
10 limes


Margaritas have long been among the most innovative cocktails
in the country, though they receive little notice outside the
Southwest. This marinated prickly-pear drink resembles Monica
Pope's ratafia cocktails, except it's made with tequila. Chef
Jay McCarthy invented it in the early 1990s at the Zuni Grill
on San Antonio's River Walk. The Zuni Grill once sold as many
as 1,500 of these blood-red margaritas a day.

Peel each prickly-pear fruit and put the peeled fruit in a
large glass jar. Pour in the tequila so that the fruit is
completely submerged. Seal tightly and allow to sit 3-4 days.

For each margarita, remove one prickly pear. To remove the
seeds, mash the flesh through a large-mesh strainer into a
bowl. Discard the seeds. Put the strained fruit into a
blender. Add 1/2 c crushed ice, 2 oz prickly-pear-flavored
tequila, 1 oz Cointreau, and the juice of 1 lime. Blend until
slushy and serve in a large martini glass.
