Sounds like she doesn't have the Professional. our daughter Rachel got a
KA from her husband some years ago. On one of our visits, we tried it,
found it a bit lightweight. Steve tried Janis's at the picnic in 08 for
the bread he made. He called me over to check it out. On our way back to
GA we stopped at a kitchen outlet store and got one--the Professional
model like Janis has. (G) I wouldn't go for anything less now; I use it
quite a bit.

Could be, but won't sell me on a lightweight mixer. We bought an Oster
blender a few years ago, one that had multiple speeds but a lightweight
base ( a lot of plastics in it). A couple of years ago, we saw an old
base, just 2 speeds, at a yard sale. Asked how much it was, got told
$1.00 since there was no blender jar--sold! It's the old fashioned,
heavy duty base. The old one went to the local landfill/recycle center.

Salt & pepper is the little bit of seasoning I was thinking of. (G)

True, I've never tried the diet version of ginger ale. Have to check it
out and see what they use for sweetening.

Actually, something like this goes well on a milder fish like flounder.
Put the fish in a (glass) pan, add salsa & bake until fish is done.
Serve with brown rice & a green salad. I'd leave out the cilantro but
that's our choice.
