-> Sometimes they're fun to window shop in. And, food courts can have some
-> good stuff. One time when Rachel & I ran up to Tucson for something
-> wedding connected, we stopped at the Tucson Mall for lunch. I got a gyro
-> with peppers & onions; Rachel went with a burger. Took them to go so as
-> we were eating them on our way home, Rachel was wishing she'd gotten
-> what I did from the aroma. It tasted as good as it smelled too. (G)

I'm not a biggie on "window shopping"
either..I go when I need something, get
in get it and get out. Have little use for
malls.

-> -> I'm still in the learning curve phase. Got the OK to back the insulin
-> -> down to 24 units yesterday, also guidelines for adjusting it as 
needed.
-> -> I've lost almost 20 pounds in 5 months also, a help there. We checked
-> -> out an eatery called Pharoh's yesterday as well. Not the
-> -> Egyptian/Mediterranian we thought it might be but a sandwich (Philly
-> -> cheesesteak, chicken salad, burgers, dogs, fresh made fries, salads,
-> -> fried pickles, etc) place instead. Worth the wait & extra dollar or 
two
-> -> over fast food joints. So small that they only had a couple of tables
-> -> inside but it was a pretty enough day that sitting outside was OK.

-> Doing quite well overall. A freind of mine was diagnosed diabetic in
-> February, said she was strict at first about her eating habits but went
-> back to a lot of her old ways quickly. I gave her a nutshell review and
-> promised to get together this week for a longer session. Steve & I
-> celebrate our anniversary this week so we'll find a place that doesn't
-> go carb heavy on meals to celebrate.

Michael is currently here, so we ended
up going out to my friend Tom's restaurant 
for dinner. Anne met us there after school
and we had a grand dinner...I had Gorgonzola
ravioli in a cream sauce with hazelnuts..hand
made ravioli too..so good!! Michael and Anne
both got a Braised beef dish with rigatoni.
Michael and I split a bottle of Pinot Noir
(from Oregon) that was pretty good! Anne had
dessert...Michael and I waited until we were
home to enjoy some Biscof cookies and Clemmy's
100% sugar free chocolate ice cream. I liked the
cookies (first time I've had 'em) and already
liked the ice cream. It was a very good meal! 
Tom came out and visited for a very short time;
his restaurant is very successful and has become
quite a "destination" on it's own. Most of those
who were here at the first Fido picnic that I hosted
will remember Tom as we had a group dinner there one
night. (different location though)
