I am indeed quite skeptical about some of their claims, even though
their beef and pork is obviously primo just by looking at it. The
proof will be in the tasting.

Yep. It is the extra firm section of the fish with no belly cavity,
from the anus back to the tail. The best part of the fish after the
cheeks.

 HN> Broil some of those oysters with the bacon

That's an excellent idea. Either that or Oysters Rockefeller or
Casino. I hesitate to eat them raw after they've been frozen and
thawed ever if they were shucked and frozen very soon after they
were out of the water.

All my female co-workers were thrilled. I couldn't very well take
them home what with Roslind being a new diabetic who used to love
chocolate.

     Title: Christian's Danish Pickled Oysters
Categories: Danish, Oysters, Pickles
  Servings: 8

      1 pt oysters 
    1/2 c  oyster broth
    1/2    onion; thinly sliced
      1    bay leaf 
      3    whole allspice 
      3    whole peppercorns 
    1/8 ts mustard seed 
    1/2    lemon; thinly sliced
    1/4 c  vinegar
           salt 

Boil oysters in own liquid. When edges curl, remove from heat, lift
out oysters and cool. 

Boil liquid down to 1/2 cup; chill. Combine with the remaining
ingredients and pour over oysters. Let stand in refrigerator 1 hour
or longer. Serve iced.
