Ärende: Drying peppers

Hi Hap,

Concerts and such like? Are the usual concession stands open for those

Healthy holiday cooking? I'm probably not going to do too much this year
but will probably help Rachel do some. She doesn't do much because a lot
of the parents of students send her goodies; David gets them from the
whole school as Headmaster. She usually sends us and her in laws some of
the goodies, gives a lot away and puts a lot into her freezer to use
thruout the winter.

-> The rash is pretty much gone, as are all the scabs, etc from surgery.

That's the truth! I tried cutting up an apple left handed today, had so
little strength I had to use the right hand instead. It wasn't pretty
looking but the job got done.

 HN> I like all the greens..kale as well.
 HN> but I do have a fondness for chard.

-> And got more chard this morning, steamed and served for supper tonight.
-> Pepper vinegar seemed a bit wimpy, may be time to make a new batch?

 HN> Yes...most certainly!

Soon as the new peppers come into season.

-> Easy enough to do, just get some cayenne type peppers, wash them up,
-> cut small slits into them in several places and stuff them into an old
-> soy sauce bottle. Then heat your white vinegar to just under a boil, add
-> it it to the bottle & let it sit for a week or so. A no brainer recipe.

 HN> I usually look for other peppers than
 HN> the cayenne ones. If I can find them
 HN> I like tabasco's or Thai peppers.
 HN> Smaller, and hotter and they make
 HN> the vinegar "pop"!

Might have to look for some of them in the farmer's market.
