Just chance that something good happened, then? Could well be;
more plausible in fact than something good was intentionally
delivered.

The ones I've seen are automatic. They kick on when the
regulating mechanism senses a power outage for longer than
a few seconds and (I presume) turn themselves off when the
main current returns.

Yesterday's e-mail said that the docs at the hospital are
amazed at how good he looks.

I've seen rejections, even happened once or twice to me:
sometimes randomly I think, but more often when you miss
the touchpad with the stylus altogether. The cashier just
says, oh, try again.

   I've been told by cashiers that even a

Which makes scanty sense. Maybe it's a useless gesture that
serves as a frontline defense, like the TSA.

The rest of the signature was right on - it's as though one
could be rejected nowadays because it had a smiley at the end.

Serbian Musaka with Potatoes 
cat: Serb, no eggplant
servings: 4

4 eggs
1 c plain yogurt (approximately)
- or sour cream if you want a richer version
2 c milk
1/2 ts salt, or to taste
5 to 6 md potatoes
Olive or other oil
- (My mother in law used to use bacon grease for
- added flavor)
1 lb lean ground beef
1 lg onion, chopped

Mycaka

Brown ground beef and onion in large skillet, breaking up
beef into small bits. When browned, drain off fat.

For topping: beat the eggs. Whisk in yogurt and then milk.

Peel potatoes and slice 1/8 to 1/4" thick.

Oven at 450F.

In a large baking dish make an even potato layer 2 or 
3 slices thick. Season to taste. Spread meat over in
one layer. Cover with another potato layer. Pour the
egg mixture over. Season.

Cover the musaka tightly with foil. It helps if you 
spray the underside of the foil with Pam so the 
potatoes won't stick to it. Bake covered for 1 hr.

Uncover and check for doneness. If potatoes are not
done, cover and return to oven for up to 15 min.

Bake casserole uncovered for 20-30 min more or until
browned to taste. Remove; let rest 5 min before serving.
