Coincidentally, yesterday I read a newspaper article.

"Jackson Family Wines, which owns estates in France, Chiie and
California, has doubled its Australian vineyard holdings with the
purchase of the 186ha property former Hickinbotham family vineyard,
nestled high above McLaren Vale.  The estate's prized shiraz,
60-year-old bush grenache vines and cabernet sauvignon fruit have
previously found their way into Penfolds Grange, Eileen Hardy and
Clarendon Hills.  The aim is to produce "iconic" wines from a
yet-to-be-decided label selling above $100 a bottle to both Australian
and export markets, said Jackson chief operating officer Hugh Reimers.

"The vineyard was sold to Jackson Family Wines, despite higher rival
bids, because former owner David Hickinbotham wanted to see the
vineyards handed on to a family owned winemaker."

That is a non-event in Adelaide, but there is a procession and
festivities in Sydney, where there are more Irish descendants,
doubtless as so many residents have convict or military ancestors.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Maslin Beach Squid with Chorizo & Verdale Olives
 Categories: Main dish, Fish, Australian
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      4 md Squids; clean/scored/cut
           ;in bite-size pieces,
           ;including  tentacles
      1    Chorizo sausage; peeled,
           ;sliced thin
      1 c  Olives- Verdale; pitted
      2    Preserved limes; skin only,
           ;sliced thin
      2    Chillies- red; seeded,
           ;sliced thin
    1/2    Limes; juice of
    1/2 c  EVOO; McLaren Vale
      2 bn Rocket; washed/dried
 
  Put 1/4 cup of oil in very hot wok. Immediately fry the squid until
  lightly coloured. Add the sliced sausage & fry for a further minute
  or so. Then add the chilli & olives & combine. Remove the pan from
  the heat & remove to a large stainless steel bowl.
  
  Working quickly, add the preserved lime, rocket, remaining oil, & lime
  juice, & toss together well. Season to taste with salt & freshly
  ground pepper & serve immediately.
