Yup.

I'll take spice cookies just about any way...  :)  The hard cookies can
always be dunked in milk to soften them (non-dairy, in your case), or,
what I used to do all the time, breathe into them until they'd softened
some from the breaths' moisture... one has to be patient for that one
though...  ;)

I've always heard them called Snicker Doodles, but I'm sure there are
other regional variants...  :)
